The climate crisis is often seen as the root cause of many global issues, such as the persistent problem of malaria in Africa, despite its existence for over a century. Read Manuela Andreoni's article below on the subject!

Humankind has never been better at fighting diseases. Researchers are coming up with new vaccines and treatments at an astounding speed.

But climate change is making public health gains a lot harder to achieve and undoing some of the world’s hard-earned progress.

Consider the mosquito, which kills more humans than any other creature.

Until very recently, fatalities from malaria, which is spread by mosquitoes, were on the decline. The widespread use of insecticides and bed nets had brought the number of deaths from malaria down to fewer than 600,000 in 2021, according to the World Health Organization, from roughly 900,000 in 2000.

But climate change has expanded the warm areas where the most dangerous species of mosquitoes, those that carry deadly diseases, can breed. As a result of those factors, and also because of the rapid evolution of mosquitoes, malaria deaths are once again on the rise, as my colleague Stephanie Nolen, The Times’s global health reporter, writes in an astounding new series about the insects and all the ways we have to fight them.

Meat Eater and Cows, but also Onion Soup should be banned as it causes Methan in Human? Are we seeing a cultural revolution in the idea that it will save the planet and all animals no longer have to fear being slaughtered but enjoy a pet life. One way to handle the problem is through anaerobic digestion of manure stored in closed vessels. The captured methane can be used to generate heat and electricity. The 7,000+ dairy and swine operations in the U.S. could generate enough electricity to power nearly 600,000 homes annually, preventing the release of 1.3 million tons of methane into the atmosphere

After people have trumpeted for Solar and Wind Energy, they now start to realize that Climate might be changeable, but the Weather so we have only Sunny and Windy days? And at the same time lament about receding Ground Water and Snowfall, at least temporarily. So, a new Buzzword to save the Planet has to be invented, Geothermal Energy. It is astonishing as we can drill Water well as deep as we like that we had to wait for Fracking technologies to find heat in the Ground. 

States like California are increasingly desperate for clean energy sources that can run at all hours. While wind and solar power are growing fast, they rely on fossil fuels like natural gas for backup when the sun sets and wind fades. Finding a replacement for gas is an acute climate challenge, and geothermal is one of the few plausible options.

“Geothermal has historically been overlooked,” Senator Lisa Murkowski, Republican of Alaska, said at a hearing. But with innovation, she added, “the potential is out there, I think, that’s pretty extraordinary.”

Manufactured Climate Crisis? More and more voices start to question the hype especially considering the sources such as the UN, WEF and some Hedge Funds, changing their funding sources from fossil to renewable.
